{"id":407,"date":"2011-10-02T09:17:54","date_gmt":"2011-10-02T13:17:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.bmbs.org\/?p=407"},"modified":"2011-10-02T12:23:53","modified_gmt":"2011-10-02T16:23:53","slug":"god-loves-the-rich-more","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.bmbs.org\/?p=407","title":{"rendered":"God loves the rich (more)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Author Barbara Ehrenreich has documented how the wealthy and their political allies claim the rich are being demonized in these difficult times &#8212; a not-surprising thing as everyone else loses ground.\u00a0 But she also points out how strong the defense of the wealth is, even among groups that traditionally sympathized with the poor.<\/p>\n<p>In an essay in the <em>Washington Post <\/em>this weekend, she said:\u00a0 &#8220;In fact, if you keep your ears open, you can hear the praises of the rich ringing out almost everywhere.
